Maija Louekari: Veljekset

Bank of Finland

Maija Louekari: Veljekset

Address: Kirkkokatu 17

Veljekset (Brothers) is an animation based on the pattern designed by Maija Louekari for Finnish design house Marimekko that celebrates the centenary of Finnish independence. The powerful and vivid forest inhabitants reflect the wild and exotic nature here in the North.

The installation will be projected onto the façade of the Bank of Finland along Kirkkokatu, bringing the characters in the pattern to life and creating a surprising nature experience in the heart of historic Helsinki.

Soundscape: Aake Otsala, Timo Yliräisänen

In co-operation with: Marimekko

Picture: Johanna Kinnari
