Eero Helle (FI) – EQ

Event Introduction

Eero Helle’s monumental work EQ explores how people’s values and understanding of them are shaped. It challenges us to examine how individuals experience and interpret certain concepts, often strongly shaped by socially accepted notions. The light structures in the work depict individuals who form a cohesive whole despite being of different lengths. Depending on where and from how far away the viewer looks at the work, it can appear to be changing and lead to different interpretations. The artist seeks to raise questions: what do the concepts that refer to the title of the work mean to the individual viewer, and through what perspective does the viewer interpret the concepts of the work as they look at it?

Eero Helle
Eero Helle is an experienced professional in visual design and event technology. Originally trained as an automation engineer, Helle has come a long way from a roadie to a creative director. He is passionate not only about developing the technical-artistic field, but also about creating memorable and thought-provoking visual experiences. In his creative work, Helle is particularly inspired by the intersection between commercial entertainment and art and the issues at the interface between the two.
