Pasi Rauhala (FI) – Kudos
Event Introduction
The artwork Kudos, located inside the Venturo building, is artist Pasi Rauhala’s tribute to Matti Suuronen’s design. Suuronen’s pure form language and design ideology served as sources of inspiration for Rauhala during the creation of this work.
The piece consists of a multi-channel projection onto a thread structure and fans that blow at random intervals.
The title Kudos carries multiple meanings. On one hand, the word can refer to woven fabric and it denotes the structures of living organisms. Kudos is also an English word with Greek origins, meaning a tribute or honor.
