Evgenija Gross (UA) – Path / road – We are under the protection of the Gods.

Event Introduction

Evgenija Gross’s works are narrative animations that appeal to the whole family.

Part 1. Path / road. When your familiar world collapses and life shifts its course, you must choose a new path, a new road. Trusting the flow of fate, sailing without resistance is wiser when your compass is the heart. I followed my heart to Finland, and I was not mistaken. Here I found a new home and a new beginning.

Part 2. We are under the protection of the Gods. The girl, Nadya, turns to the gods for help and protection. Through a spirit-intermediary, she offers a branch of red viburnum, and the gods, accepting her gift, weave it into a protective wreath, which they bestow upon her. This story conveys that the Ukrainian people are safeguarded by higher powers and by their ancient lineage and are therefore invincible.

Evgeniya Gross
Evgeniya Gross is a Ukrainian artist, designer, and animator. She studied at the Institute of Fashion Design in Kyiv and worked at the Novator film studio as an animator, set designer, and production designer, also contributing to character development. Since 2022 she has lived in Finland and is currently studying at Stadin AO in Helsinki.

Workshops:

7.–9.1. from 5 PM to 9 PM

During Lux Helsinki, Annantalo transforms into an oasis of pause and calm. Pop inside to enjoy Lux-themed workshops designed for children and families with children, as well as spaces that stimulate different senses. Annantalo’s own cafe, Napero, will also be open throughout the event. Programmed activities will be offered from Wednesday to Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM.
