Pågå Oy -kollektiivi! (FI) – Flexmirror–triptyykki

Event Introduction

“Infinity Mirror” is one of the most well-known and widely used mirror effects, but it is fascinating to consider whether old classics might still hold new possibilities. What if the world behind the mirror surface could be set in motion? How large a mechanism can be fitted into a closet-sized space?

The mirror surfaces of the artwork are made from Flexmirror film, which allows the creation of large, seamless mirror panels. The film, stretched onto an aluminum frame at 300 °C, is unbreakable and lightweight, with better reflectivity than a traditional silver mirror. Thanks to its properties, Flexmirror mirrors can be installed in places where mirrors could not previously be used. There are two versions of Flexmirror: the fully reflective Superbrilliant and the light-transmitting Semitransparent. This artwork uses both types.
