Riku Sourama & Pekka Tavi (FI) – Hirmuliskodisko

Event Introduction

The rotating movement of the Zoetroop transforms the images or series of images flickering on the circumference of the disc into an illusion of a moving image. The tracks form a movement on the wheel, which in the work is achieved by means of video cannons.

Hirmuliskodisko is a fun piece about dancing dinosaurs. The work plays with the human-like dance movements of various creatures. The dinosaurs disappeared millions of years ago, but dance is eternal!
